Before our first meeting I created a logical network map through the help of Lucid Chart. Once the first meeting was over and the area was toured, I went back and revised it. Clay helped me with the revision. I added things on there like servers, switches, and access points.

A Not-For-Profit group needs help setting up a new wireless router. The router will be placed in the training room.  The router itself is still currently in the process of being purchased. Clay and I went onsite to not for Profit group today to hopefully install the router, the required materials for the router have not yet arrived so one of the IT guys is going to work on the cabling next week and hopefully finish by the end of next Thursday.

UPDATE: The project was taken over. I was able to go to Not-For-Profit  but none of the wiring was done for the router. Now a contractor for the  Not For Profit group will be taking over the installation .

A Not-For-Profit  would like their staff members who are offsite to be able to use their laptops in order to have access to files on a Windows based Server. Some options that have been given to them are Store the server itself onto the cloud, or use a VPN to be able to connect the computers to the server.

UPDATE: I believe that after our tech support meeting at the Not-For-Profit  where one of the tech support groups will be taking over the VPN project. I discussed this at the netting but Tech support offered to do it.

A Not-For-Profit group wants to be able to print from their new wireless printer. Clay and I were able to set up the printer and install the correct drivers to get it working. A test page was printed out to ensure that the connection was working right.
