The student that worked on this project had the opportunity to assist in the migration to a new infrastructure for Indiana company. In the first stages of the project the student did pre-planning and preparation work which included selecting a new server, network hardware, deciding what would be physical or virtual environment, planning a backup and lastly a disaster recovery plan. The next step the student participated in was deployment and configuration of the systems. The hardware included Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Switches, SANs, and HP servers. The student also worked with configuring different software titles as well as configuring and building a Symantec Endpoint protection server. Finally, the student created documentation via Visio Diagrams of the new infrastructure, the new rack layout, and an active directory layout.
