The goal of this project is to create a database capable of tracking repair tickets and inventory for an ongoing university course project.  The client is currently using an excel sheet to track this data.  The new system will consist of a SQL server back-end and a Microsoft Access front-end. The Microsoft Access interface will allow end users to easily input and access data. The interface also provides a way of validating data before it reaches the back end. In addition to the basic input of data, the interface will include pre-designed reports to allow users to quickly see outstanding tickets, completed tickets,outstanding returns ,and current inventory levels.
