The purpose of the Render Farm Project is to create a high speed graphics rendering network.  This is accomplished by using multi core computing nodes to compile graphics information at high speeds while the overall work load is managed by a separate system. This process is aided by the use of Autodesk software including Maya for graphics management and Back Burner for workload management. Implementation upon completion is TBD depending on the outcome of meeting with IUPUI network security.

The benefit of the Render Farm Project is to allow CIGT students access to high speed 24 hour rendering to assist them with project completion. Being able to render more data faster may allow students to create more complex projects and greatly assist them with time management. This solution can be expanded by adding additional servers or systems to the network to operate as nodes that increase the render farms overall performance.
